特許庁のウエブサイトが一新されました。そして特に注目したいのが、「知財戦略」というタブができたことです。

起業する際の考慮項目の一つとして知財が必要であることを強調するためです。
とかく忘れられがちな「知財」。
実は重要なのに、知財は皆さんにとって身近な世界ではありません。
起業に必要なのは「お金」と「人」を思い浮かべますが、商品の名前、店舗の名前、デザイン、技術などの権利である知財も必要です。

2000年頃のビジネスモデル特許ブームの際には、知財はベンチャー企業の必須のアイテムとされていました。その後ビジネスモデルも下火になり、特許はまた遠い世界の話になってしまいました。
しかし意匠法や著作権法の改正がニュースをにぎわし、知財はまた個人や中堅企業が考慮すべき事項となっています。
特許庁ウエブサイトも一新されたことですし、また知財ブームの再来を望みます。

The JPO’s website was renewed. I want to especially focus on the newly established “Intellectual Property Strategy” tab.

The aim of this tab is to stress that one of the items to be considered when starting companies is Intellectual Property.
“Intellectual Property” is often forgotten.
To tell the truth, Intellectual Property is important but not familiar to everyone. We come up with “funds” and “human resources” necessary for starting companies; however, the rights for product names, shop names, designs, and technologies are also necessary.

Around 2000, when business model patents had been going around, Intellectual Property was considered indispensable for ventures. But then business model patent applications declined, and Intellectual Property became an inaccessible world.
However, amendments to the Design Law and Copyright Law are often being reported, which encourages individuals and small and medium-sized companies to consider Intellectual Property.
Given the renewal of the JPO’s website, I hope that Intellectual Property will become a popular topic again.
