AI(Artificial Intelligence)による特許審査が現実のものとなりそうです。
特許庁ウエブサイトに「IP Samurai®」という特許審査シミュレーションシステムが紹介されています。


㈱AI Samuraiが開発する「IP Samurai®」というAIによる特許審査シミュレーションシステムの無料版利用者が500人を超えたことが発表されました。

AIによる特許審査はいずれ実現するだろうと思っていましたが、こんなに早くとは思っていませんでした。

発明をどのように入力するかというと、アイディアまたはクレームの文章を入力します。その結果、AIにより国際特許分類が付与され、引用文献と一致している点が挙げられ、特許可能性が4段階(A～Dランク)で判定されます。クレームチャートが作成されたり(無料版)、有料版ではさらに無効、侵害の調査まで行ってくれます。

特許の審査ですらAIが行えるのですから、ことばの置き換えである特許翻訳がAIにとって代わられるのは全く不思議はありません。

It was announced that this system, developed by AI Samurai Inc., has recorded more than 500 users in the free version.

I have expected the realization of patent examination using AI, but never dreamed that it would be realized so soon.

How do we input inventions to be searched? We can input ideas or claim sentences. The system then assigns International Patent Classification (IPC), lists commonality with cited documents, and determines four-rank patentability (Ranks A to D), and also prepares claim charts (in the free version), and additionally conducts invalidity or infringement searches in the paid version, using AI.

As patent examinations can even be conducted by AI, it’s no wonder that patent translations whereby humans transpose words may be replaced by AI.
